I like the frame the one guy made where he made a bunch of pie cuts in the 2x4 and welded them so the frame had a nice radius kick up in the front

I just bought last week 20ft of 2x3x1/8" thick from my local supplier it cost me about 80.00 Then yesterday I went and picked up 24' of 1x1 and 20' 1x2 to build my subfloor, and it came to about 32.00

In the past when I have welded in patch panels usually on late model cars with much thinner sheet metal.. I just tack it here and there untill the entire thing has been welded on, while cooling it with a damp rag... running a straight bead on the sheet metal would warp the **** out if it. And...

I have a set of the harbor freight but clamps I use them all the time. The gap is fine, if you can weld alright... You shouldnt be trying to run a bead on sheetmetal anyway unless you like warpage...

510 for him to do the work and buy the materials doesn't sound to bad at all... Goto the supply house and price out stuff that size wire is not cheap... I had just run a 50amp circuit in my garage for my powder coat oven, it cost me almost 200.00 in stuff alone.
