I want to put a thumper cam in my SB 283. Do I have to change the lifters or can I just use whats in there. I really just want the sound is there any other cams to consider?

I saw an intake adapter to go on a 4BBL intake. I thought it was in the speedway catalog but now I can't find it. I want to run dual 2BBLs mostly for looks. Can anyone help?
