    the latch mechanism was pretty simple. made a small lever and connected the handle to the latch with piece of 1/8 x 1/2 strap. and added a small spring to keep out any rattles. then for an inside handle I realized the old window cranks had a square hole in it that fit the shaft of the door...

    made some time and got the radiator mounted. this rad had mounting brackets for a 41-46, that is a little different than 39-40. just had to add some aluminum pieces to each side.fit great.

    got the doors roughed out and some primer on. my grandson was in the shop today to help me hang them. got these locking t-handles that I'm going to use ,they will work well with the bear claw latch kit I've got. not only that they cost a lot less than what I needed to use the original handles.

    at first i wondered why go to so much trouble to hang a pedal and steering column, but I understood why you were doing this. using your logic about the electric and I agree with that, the MC doesn't care what's pushing it and the column doesn't care whats holding it.
