    51 Plymouth air suspension

I'm not sure that my disc brake conversion will fit with the dropped uprights, I need to look into that. I had been looking for drop spindles for it and hadn't had any luck, I guess this is the way people are doing it. I really am pretty much set on bagging the car, around here the roads are...

    51 Plymouth air suspension

Yeah, that is true. One benefit of doing the s10 frame is that I can be doing it piece by piece while I'm still driving the car, where if I do the factory frame I will have to have the car out of commision for a while. I'm still undecided. If its as easy as throwing some bags in the coil spring...

    51 Plymouth air suspension

Thanks a ton! I have been debating putting the car on an s10 frame just because bagging an s10 is so easy nowadays and a longbed s10 and this car just happen to be the same wheelbase. The only problem is that this car is in such good shape I don't want to cut the entire thing up swapping frames.

Here is a couple pictures of the front suspension, the car isn't at my house right now so I won't be able to get actual measurements until tomorrow night probably.

So, I want to put air ride on my 51 2 door cranbrook and haven't been able to find any info on anyone that has done it. I'm sure there are people on here that have and I was curious what bags and setup you used for the front. The rear is pretty much the same as any other car, so that's not bad...

Thanks. I actually got the car from a guy in Lebanon! Does anyone happen to know what would be the best way to upgrade the front suspension? I would really like to go with power steering and power disk brakes.

After reading your posts I just might keep the stock frame, I honestly hadn't even checked the floorpans and frame very well, I just expected them to be junk, that's how I usually buy stuff. Looked under it and there isn't a rust hole in the entire floorpan, frame is in good shape it looks...

Ideally I would do a new hemi but the 5.3 is such a good engine and super cheap. I can get one with tranny for under $1000.

So, finally bit the bullet and bought another project. I have worked on 70's plus vehicles all my life (I'm 28) and always wanted something older but have never found anything that fit in my budget and I liked the look. Found a 51 Plymouth Cranbrook 2 door on craigslist and swooped it up. I...
