Hello from Kentucky.
Rat Rods Rule!
I've just started a build, 1950 Ford F1.
396 Chebby Diesel (sans turbo), NV3500 5 speed, 9" rear.
Suicide front axle, aiming to have the frame rails 5" off the ground.
Been interested in this a long time, I had a 49 chevy, a 51 ford, and a 53 dodge when I was in high school (1980!). Sure wish I had them now, they were WAY better than what I'm tinkering with now.
Anyhow, I have big plans and a 2,500$ budget and hoping to drive this thing out of the shop come spring.
I'll be asking questions and posting progress.

Welcome to RRR fro OKLA. lots of potential there. I like the big fenders, but slamming It to the ground, chopping a little, and fender less is a good idea too. I see a full faced "look at me" little tow rig down close to the ground. just my $0.02. by the way start a build thread so us poor boys can watch where all your budget goes.
