Once a month from April through October, the car club I belong to has a cruise night at the same park where we have our three day show. Cruise nights are open to any type and year of car, truck or bike, while our show is limited to cars and trucks that are modified to a 100 point criteria, and starting this year, a minimum of 30 years old (kind of what NSRA is doing).

These are some pics of the the June cruise night....only some of the cars. There were probably 500-600 cars there since the weather was so nice.

I have been called stupid before,so I will risk it again.
What does modified to 100 point criteria mean?[S
Just curious.
thanks

We had to impose the 100 point deal many years ago....We are in kind of a unique situation. Macungie park has to big shows in August since around 1980 (or so). One is Das Auck Fescht...one of the larger "all original" shows on the east coast. The AACA (antique automobile club of America) is located in Hershey, PA not far from here, and they are behind the "fest" for their "preservation and restorations" of stock automobiles. The "fest" does not allow "modified" vehicles in their show..they must be bone stock.

HOWEVER....Our club is an NSRA based street rod club, and we like "hot rods!!!" A nice clean original car is a really good start to a nice hotrod...not a restoration. Whats the old saying..."anyone can restore a car, but it takes a real man to cut one up!" Problem was even though the "fest" doesn't allow modified cars, they were happy to show up at our show with their stockers...it got to the point people with hotrods couldn't get into our show because of lack of space, so we implimented the 100 point deal to keep the stock original cars out of our show and we would have up to 2200 modified cars for our show

Here is what we use for the criteria...pretty simple to hit 100 points, just so its not stock :D

Thanks for the info Rodding Ron.
I understand now.I like your way of doing it.
My car would already have the 100 points just with it`s chopped top.
Looks like you had a great show.
