Slide rebuild

So my dad found this old playground slide at our buddys wrecking yard a few weeks ago. It has a donation plaque of 1962.

Its long the one pic shows it hanging of my dads 16' trailer!!

Its currently being sand plasted and powder coated for my girls b- day. Disco purple and metalic silver, the handrails and stairs are going to be metallic silver and the bottom and the sides of the slide will be disco purple. The purple color is a three-stage powder coat first dose of gloss black then the metallic purple and then clear coat it is sick! He's supposed to have it done tomorrow afternoon because we are having their birthday party on Saturday

Don't powder coat the slide surface... polished stainless steel is slick as goose sh** through a tin horn...

No sir. The slide surface was covered in sheet metal and taped down so not to blast it

We had 3 big metal slides on our playground when I was in elementary school (they disappeared shortly after my time there), and two plastic ones. The plastic ones weren't nearly as fun but resulted in a lot less injuries.

Spray the slide with silicone spray after you get through with it. It will make it fast, too, and bare skin won't stick to it as bad.

Apparently so. Wax the slide and find some burlap potato sacks... hop into the potato sack (like half a sleeping bag) and let physics take care of the rest...
