What’s up guys. I’d like to share some pics of our 25 Studebaker that my buddy from Willis Welding and Fabrication is building for us. Car was originally from NewYork, came with clean paper work and was complete minus a few things like running boards and top. Body was in amazing shape and all the wood was solid! It would have been an amazing candidate for a restoration but screw that, I wanted it low and mean and fun to drive. Originally we planned on running a stock Chevy small block 350 out of a blazer I had but ended up going with an LS1 that i was going to put in my rock buggy. Sold the buggy but kept the motor so why not use it. Other plans for the car were a 6” chop,”car was ridiculously too tall to begin with”, bagged front n rear, full cage, 22” Gm transit rear wheels, 21” model A front wheels, Chevy 10bolt rear ended, superbell drop front axle with discs, and split wishbones....well anyway I’ll try to get some pics going in order of from when we got it to where it is now. Thanks for looking guys!

Thanks guys. Yeah I’m posting with my cell but all the pics I post are taken vertically, hmmm,Weird, oh well, I’ll post some more lol.....we used my buddies service truck to lift the body off the original chassis...I ended up getting a good deal on a 28 ford project, I originally only bought it for the rollin chassis, I sold the cab, hood, bed etc.....after taking a good look and getting some measurements it turns out the frame wasn’t going to work for what I wanted, that and the previous owner didn’t do a very good/safe job with the frame...It was not close to being square at all. The only part of the frame we ended up using was the front frame rails and they still needed to be re-worked.

Set the body on the ground and were deciding wether to chop 4 or 6 inches out. The car was super tall so 6” is what we went with. My buddy did an awesome job getting it all back together!

From the beginning I wanted to bag the car so we went with a bagged 4 link for the rear and a West Texas speed airbag crossmember up front

The Chevy 10 bolt rear i was going to use isn’t wide enough to clear the body using the 22” transit wheels because of their offset so I ended up getting my ands on a six lug 9.5” Gm semi float 14bolt. Was a bit of a pain tracking down a company who made disc brake conversion brackets for this axle but finally found a pair from lugnut4x4.com.

My buddy made the new frame rails hug right against the original body/floor lines giving a bit more room for the seats instead of them sitting on top of the rails kissing head room...rear kick up is just about done
