8 lug 18" wheels, pretty common on AD series ton trucks. Most people got rid of them in the 70's because tires got hard to find, 18" wasn't commonly used anymore. Now 18" are everywhere.

Good catch OI. I'm not up on the Chevys as good. Didn't notice the missing wing window. 60-65 are hard for me to pick out, too. I know the earlier ones had torsion bar front ends.

I think Dr C is right, sounds like a ground issue. Make sure there is a ground strap from the engine to the battery as well as on to the body/firewall area.

It's not that hard, you can buy ready made brackets and cables or do like I did and modify stock stuff. The main thing is the carb linkage bracket--you want the TV cable to move exactly the same...
