That is the first 57 Ford I have seen with a backhoe setup. was this a factory unit? Need a ladder to get up to the backhoe seat.:eek:

Backhoe is Sherman Corp made. Front loader is Wagner. We figure this may be a factory or dealer option, not sure.

We had our spring/summer Plowday recently and I finally got my pictures straightened out.

The second one is Al Simpson on an Oliver 770.

Thanks for posting those excellent pictures MM. It's been about 8 years since I've been west, and I'd forgotten how flat it is!

A buddy of mine recently finished the restoration on this Fordson. It's so nice! He's even made the wooden steering wheel. I should have snapped a picture of it.

billyM, that Fordson restoration your buddy did is a great job. Hope he will spend a little time in the field with it. Restored tractors need to feel some dirt now & then.[cl

So here is our oldest tractor in my dad's collection. It was my grandpa's, it is a 1928 John Deere model GP. Stands for general purpose, originally they were going to call it the model C, since it looked a lot like the D's. But they were trying to Market it as more of an everybody's tractor so they called it the GP general purpose. There's no electronics on this tractor whatsoever it's a hand crank by the big counterweight flywheel on the left hand side has two petcocks to relieve the compression so it's easier to Wing over. About three revolutions through the compression strokes and this one fires right up every time. Here are a couple pictures of it

This one is not old but mine none the less! After retiring early I needed some work to keep myself in funds until things straightened out. I had a guy ask me to do some land clearing on a 30 acre tract on a place called Drayton Island. No roads to the island and the ferry only operated sporadically so the shots are when we crossed the Saint Johns river at the mouth of Big Lake George. I hit it hard for two weekends and got shafted on my pay so I never did anymore for him. The first weekend I went over, I took the truck, trailer and tractor over loaded up. When I got on the ferry, My truck was hanging over the front and the trailer was jutting over the back edge. The next time, I unloaded and went across with just the tractor. It's a Farmtrac made by Long Agriculture. Supposed to be an India made copy of a Ford 3000.

My lil 8N hasn't been running for a while & didn't wanna start recently so I finally got around to it & got it started & running again... all it really took was a new set of good points! I read on a tractor forum these new points suck & recommended some to use... bingo! One happy boy!
