Got to work a little more in the shop today :D
John and I took the finders off the back, removed the bolts holding the body on and separated it from the frame.

Cut the back off the parts car and brought it in the shop.

Cut the back off the build car.

We slid the new back section up to the car for fitting.

Now I'm gonna put the rear doors in the openings and tack them in place.
If it doesn't snow too much, where I have to go push, then I'll do some more tomorrow [P

Looking great!
It’s amazing how solid that body is, both of them really.

Not sure if you got enough to have to push today, but we ended up with about 3” over here. Just an hour or so apart, figure it be close to the same.

Yep, gotta go push at least on the North side.
I'll get back on this tomorrow.
Thanks Rex and Todd.
This build will not be as high quality as ZZ's Caddi but, I'll do my best.

Wow, it's deja vue (deja view ? :D) all over again !! I've seen this done somewhere before [S.... Looking good man !! I went through the same decision making, photochopping process before deciding that lengthened doors would make the proportions right.
Amazing how similar the GM bodies of these years are.
Now I have a new fav build to follow [P[P

With the snow pushing out of the way, I got some shop time.
John and I got a little bit done today

Been in the shop doing the normal tack-n-weld so needless to say no pics but, the 33's coming along.
I'll do some more panel replacement and post those pics.

Little more rust

I found a little more rust thru on the cowl and A pillars so I cut the cowl off the parts car and will be using the biggest part of it to fix the project car.

These are the areas

49.jpg

The drivers side A pillar has rust on the inside flange and that's all I'll replace there

48.jpg

The cowl vent is is rough shape so it will be replace too

This is the parts cowl

This is how much we're using

We cut he firewall loose at the spot welds and will do the same to the project car.

We're gonna work on it today so I'll have some more pics later.
