Never thought I'd do anything 10,000 times, especially posts on a web site.
The door latch is tacked in place.
I came up with a simple but inelegant way to bracket the muffler/tailpipes. Used a length of 1/4" by 1" flat stock and hung it in a notch in the lower door frame. Needs to be centered and welded. I got the u bolts at the local home improvement store. The whole works will disappear somewhat once it is flat black. I'll probably wait to do a heat shield. See if I scorch my butt getting out after a drive.

Looks pretty stupid without the top half of the door and the pipes. Finally put the driveshaft in. Next is tranny fluid and then startup to see if the trans works. It's a used Craigslist purchase. When you build them this low the driveshaft rides along side you.

Bleedin' Bloody Brakes

I bled the brakes again today without much success. Old Iron, HELP! You mentioned using a syringe. I need to know where you inject the brake fluid.

Many thanks fellow UDS members. This is truly a special place. 99% support and 1% constructive criticism. I really enjoy showing what I do even if it is cave man style. But most important is the friendly banter that we all share.

To those of you that find and post all the great pictures of cars, dogs, cats, music and whatever else, thank you. That stuff is what keeps the site continually interesting.

What I miss is the fact that so many good and interesting people have been here and left. Was it something I said?[ddd

Fill the syringe with brake fluid put the needle in the vent hole inside the reservoir at the bottom of the master cylinder then inject the fluid until the air bubbles stop coming out.
Do you have any pedal at all?
If you have pedal, is it spongy?
Can you pump the pedal and get brakes?
I know you know this but doesn't hurt to mention it. Make sure the peddle has some free play at the top of it's stroke or the vent hole in the reservoir will be blocked by the plunger and it won't bleed.

Support Your Local Drag Strip

Thanks OI. Now to find a syringe.

I took the day off from rod building and went to the drags. It was billed as a fun meet. Nice to see all the muscle cars being raced instead of hidden away in some collection.

1) Thanks for taking us along. [cl

2) I know nothing about tokens. [S

3) Al Corda used to own Rock Falls Raceway AND he's been racing himself for decades!

OI, I think you may be right. Bob, you may have to reduce the picture size so the folder is smaller or just post them in 5 or 6 groups like you did. We have no problem moving from group to group. Pictures are always good. Thanks for posting them. [cl[P[P[P:cool:
