Corsair Car Show

I live in Stratford Ct where the F4 Corsairs were built. My Dad worked there before he was drafted into the Navy around 1942, He was stationed in Pensacola and worked on planes as a hydraulic mechanic. We have a moderate size airport in town and there was a Corsair on a pedestal at the entrance for years. Many years ago it was taken down to be refurbished. The airport is in a salt marsh which didn't help. Every year they have a car show fund raiser. The last time I was there I was with my Dad but he has since past. Kind of bummed a little to go alone but felt he was at the Corsair at least with me. Here are a few pics. I'll up load more later. No real rats but some nice cars and aircraft. Jim

Ironic that ice cream trucks were banned in town for decades due to a child being hit and killed. We had them briefly when I was a kid and they just recently let them come back in. Jim
