Another piece of the Willys puzzle......

I finally got all the stuff to put the engine together. It's a 5.9 Magnum Dodge
Bored .040 over, a little bench top porting and polishing on the heads, a mid level cam, MSD ignition, Edelbrock air gap intake and Fitech throttle body fuel injection system.

On paper it should be around 375hp. Should be enough for the little Willys Truck.

Thanks for keeping an eye on me.

Looks great! What did you cover the exhaust manifolds in?

I sandblasted the crusty old manifolds and painted them with VHT paint.
They claim it's good up to 2000 degrees. I don't know about that but I do know it stays looking just like they do in the pic.
We used the same paint on the manifolds for my wifes Willys.

Is that the ceramic stuff they make that has a curing process to it?

A friend of mine used that stuff and it looks great year after year. You can't seem to hurt it. My 455 Buick burns "High Heat" paint off of the manifolds and top of the exhaust ports on the head like nothing.

That's the stuff. It is the only thing I've found that stays on.
