Came close, but I fought back. Decided to let another one go.
It had been sitting for some time in the weather and had gone
downhill quite a bit and realizing it would be a long time before I
do anything with it, I felt it would be in the best interest of all
concerned to let it go, so I posted it on Marketplace and second
guy that called said he wanted it. He is an all Ford guy and has plans
to install a 429 with a four speed. I got the feeling it would be in good
hands so we made the deal. As much as I would have liked to build it
myself I know it wasn't going to happen, soooo so long old friend.

Yes, hard to let a project go. I find it easier to let a car I built go. But not a car I'm going to build.

I know how you feel. :(

When I sold my "high school sweetheart", I watched it roll away, turned and walked into the house rubbing my eyes. I thought I was ready to let it go, but apparently, I wasn't...

My wife, with her exceptional good sense of timing asked, "what's wrong?"

I snorted, "I've had that car longer than I've had you. Wanna be next?" [ddd

Thanks Doc, that brought a smile to my face.[cl[cl:D

It's hard for sure but I applaud your being realistic about ever getting it done.:)
We've all seen the mess that sometimes gets left behind for unknowledgeable family members to deal with. That and lack of funding always keeps my "Going to get to" pile of projects lean.[ddd
