Looks like you're getting close on the truck. Did you build the engine
or did he furnish it?

I really like your Land Yacht. Brings back lots of memories.

He furnished the engine.
350 four bolt main, It came out of a Camaro.
He wants it to have a cam with a nice throaty idle so, I tried to talk him into installing a mild cam while the engine was out. He stumped his toe (so to speak) and didn't do it.

Been working on this project off an on for a while now.
Friday I had the owner take it to the muffler shop.
When he go back I put fuel in the tank, primed the carb, fired it for the first time, checked for leaks and proceeded to take it for a maiden voyage ;)
A mile down the road and back without a hitch :D
We had a celebratory beer for the milestone accomplishment
Jack, the owner had a permagrin when he left the shop. You know he had to of had that smile while he was sleeping too [ddd

I've been doing the wiring on the pickup and changing over to 12v.
One of the RRR members turned me on to a regulated voltage reducer.

This little thing is slick
I ordered 4 of them and installed one in this build. Easy to hook up and the voltage is adjustable by turning a small screw in the top of the small blue box.

This regulator can handle 3 amps.
The top red wire is the 12V positive in. The black wire is the negative in that just grounds to the vehicle. The lower red wire is the 6V positive out.
The negative out doesn't need to be hooked to anything.

On the trailer leaving
The front bumper will be removed after the state inspection and installed on the rear to take up the void between the bottom of the bed and exhaust.

This little truck came back the end of last week.
The rearend was a 3.73 with 26 inch tall tires which didn't work for cruising.
I got a set of 2.73 and an Eaton True Trac posi and installed in it.
While the truck was on the lift, I took the tranny out and had an input shaft bearing installed because, it was pretty noisy.
It left Tuesday afternoon to go back home.

The signage on the door is a tribute to an old friend of his who owned the salvage yard.
