26T, Yes it is thank you[cl

bob w, yes I do, loving it all.[;)

snopro, 80" give or take and squirrell is in the hands of the driver:p

Out of curiosity, I looked up the wheelbases of some small vehicles:

Golf Cart: 65.5"
Smart Car (1998-2006): 71.3"
Smart Car (2007-2014): 73.5"
Smart Car (2016+): 73.7"
John Deere Gator: 75.2"
Soltz's Beetle Rod: 80"
Austin Mini (1959): 80.2"
Polaris RZR (2-Seat): 90"
1986 Honda Civic Hatchback: 93.7"
Model A Ford (1928-1931): 103.5"
Polaris RZR (4-Seat): 117"

So you have the same wheelbase as an original Austin Mini, more than a Smart Car and Gator, and less than a RZR. :p

I thought my Model A was short!

80" WB as I recall. :D

Bamama we'll have to wait and see [S

Would have like it a little shorter but this is as close as I could get it, leaves room for an 8" drive shaft.

Little Steps

Getting a little done. I've had the body on and off a lot. I have to teach the frame and the body to get along more often [S
Got the rear deck on with hinges and spring.
Set the hood on and found out the early and late pieces don't always line up:rolleyes:
Stay healthy everyone. [cl

I know nothing about VWs so I got nothin to offer. Heck I've never even been in one.
I bet you can massage it into place.

Looks like a kool little ride tho.[cl[cl:cool:

Something going on with that hood, .maybe warped? All bug hoods are the same except Super Beetle, 49-74 will interchange IIRC. Super hood is a bit fatter, you have to have them side by side to see the difference.

Hmmmm.
I tend to agree with Bama on this. Is it that way on both sides?
Might be time for a little old body shop work called"Lean on me.":D[ddd
Going to be a very cool ride, soltz.

Bama /Torchie, yes the hood has suffered some abuse in it's life. Hammer and dolly time and a hole big enough to let the carbs through. I need the practice any way :p

Well here's that hole for the carbs. :p And the hood fits a little better [cl
Little steps [;)
