I look at a clevis versus rubber bushings, heim joints, or tie rods in a suspension system and see binding under any twisting or side loads.
I'm thinking of a road car, not something specialized like an exclusive drag car though there's a lot of twisting motion there too.

I've looked closely at doing that and right now it's plan B. What I envisioned for this method would look more like ladder bars but would give the same results. Look something like Speedway's Suspension Ladder Bars,

I've been doing a lot of mock-ups with the 27 body and turtle deck I have to get everything laid out close to what I want. Caught a lot of problems I never realized by cutting lumber for a frame.
I'm now in the back trying to fit a suspension. It will be coilovers and a 4 or 3 link suspension...
On ebay you can find a brake - clutch bracket to use an early 60 Chevy PU 2 cylinder common reservoir master cylinder as brakes and hydraulic clutch.
Anyone used this setup? Not common, so I'm thinking it might be marginal for brakes? It is a neat compact way to do it in a T bucket
