    Old Iron your first shop sounded pretty good. I started out with a 16 ft X 24 ft converted chicken coup and now have a 30 X 30 shop with 12 ft ceiling. A lot smaller than some but it's big to me.

    Hot Rod Hot Rod Mag did a article on this a few months back. Just about every drag car that used one of these crashed on the top end. If I remember correctly the inventor ended up in jail. :(

    Shock length Went to O'Reilly's, Autozone, and NAPA and had them pull the Mazda and S10 front shocks to compare them. Different part numbers but same length and attaching points. :confused:

    Thanks for all the ideas and suggestions. It's been determined that the problem has to be in the engine, So, He's replacing it with another engine he has. This should be interesting! 454 .030 over, roller cam, aluminum heads, and tunnel ram with 2 750 holley carbs.:eek: IN A JEEP CJ !!!

    Thanks for the ideas. It has a serpentine belt setup with reverse waterpump which has been replaced twice. Timing has been checked many times and it is a new crate motor from GM. Not sure if he's checked for cracked head as it's a new motor. Will ask about intake gasket. He thought the first...
