The rad ornament that was a gift is incredible. When my dad got his 33 Dodge we looked up the prices of those early ram emblems... Quite a gift that he gave you! That's awesome!
I was really shocked when he ran to his shop and came back with it for me, but he said he is not even a little bit Dodge so it was better off with me.

Thanks Bob, I tried to fins a spot without all the vehicles but there was way to many to work around.

Don't give up, it's far too much fun once you can drive it.

The Chevelle was a six cylinder car, he has installed a 327 and 4 speed, said he had a couple things left to finish before a safety then it will be his daily driver.

From Clinton we took a 5 hour drive SW down the Trans Canada Highway to Vancouver. I haven't been there since the 90's wow the traffic. We spent 3 days with my cousins and my last Aunt she is 95. My cousins toured us around Vancouver and the burbs. We saw some sights but nothing really picture worthy. I had prior arrangements to meet a couple very popular Canadian You Tubers but they both stood me up
From Vancouver we headed east and took the famous Coquihalla highway to Kamloops. This was by far our hottest day so far, just over 100f. In Kamloops I stopped at DUB's Customs from the TV show Rust Valley Restorers. James West
is the owner and his first build on the show, the ratrod pickup he calls spider is where I copied his tail light idea from He is a super friendly guy, I took him away from the build he is doing for the current and last season for the show to look at the Dodge. We stood outside on the blazing pavement talking for half an hour, I was even able to help him with some information on a hemi swap he is planning for a 66 Dodge stepside. I have tried to uplaod pictures from my phone into this post but no way, keeps giving me errors.
In the TV show they make Rust Valley look like it is a whole community of car shop neighbours who are 5 minutes apart, far from it, Rust Bros. and the Whitepost are a little spot on the side of the Highway that is real easy to miss, I did. Rust Bros is a horribly messy, weed infested junk yard, Whitepost is a tourist trap. There is one real HotRod shop in between them that hasn't been mentioned in the show. Dub's and JF Customs are an hour away in Kamloops and Avery's shop is 2-3 hours away up around Adams lake.
From Here we Headed south to Meet ZZ Rodder in the Next post

ZZ Rodder, Charlie, what can I say he has inspired all of us with his incredible builds and generous offers of advice and build ideas. As I said in a previous post we had an awesome visit with Charlie, got to see how the master works his magic with less tools than I have But he does live in a little tiny sub division that is surrounded on all sides by apple orchards. Thanks again Charlie

I have a version of this photo done on canvas 16x20 from Best Canvas on the wall already

Looking forward to when this car comes back in the shop.

From Charlies we headed down to west Kelowna to spend a couple days with a friend from Saskatchewan the recently moved there. Then headed home on Hwy 3 a very twisty windy mountainous route home that the wife had not been on before. I only got a couple pictures.
The look out above Osoyoos B.C the climb out of Osoyoos is long and full of 180 degree switch backs.

Here we are back at home, I have yet to scrape all the bugs off the car or finish cleaning all the road grime off of it. Like I said in a previous post the only issue we had was the drives door latch coming loose, and almost loosing the A/C due to a rock in the grill.
We are almost sad that it is over, but it created a tone of memories we will have for ever. Thanks to everyone for the tons of support through the build that made this all possible.

That road trip has to be the icing on the cake for all the time spent working on the car.
Millions of people never get the chance to enjoy those moments.
