I know it's been a while but I finally got the chance to get some work done. Two weeks ago I finally decided that I know what it was that just didn't sit right with me. The wedge chop was just sore to my eyes, so I cut 1 1/2" out of the rear of the cab and made it a level chop. NOW I'm happy...
I'm preparing for the cold right now so I can get as many days as I can over the winter in and get this thing on the road next spring.
KEEP WATCHIN!!!!:D[P
No Thank God!!! I recently made a job change and the grandkids have been playing high school football so I have had to back off a little. That and we had a bad storm come through here a while back so I have been roofing my parents house and garage and other buildings to help them out.

What I have done in the past is to form a piece of metal to the shape of the inner structure that I would be able to burn a spot weld back into after welding the top back together. It is almost impossible in some cases to get everything back like it was before being cut. Thats why it's so...
IMO- I would do the latches in the door first! Then you could take a sharpie and poke it through the closed latch to get a centerline reference and then you only have to locate the striker so the door closes in the position you want it to. At least thats how I do them!!
Good Luck!!
