Hello guys
Well crowman did check out his international trucks and is terribly disappointed. Both are weathered beyond use. I guess my memories are 20 years old and weather does a wicked number on the old metal. Frames are holely and cab metal papery and the beds are over the ground. But I...
title in New Brunswick
I have read the thread and realized this is something I should look into as well. I live in New Brunswick and my father who lives in Nova Scotia inherited some land along with several old, not road worthy vehicles. My future rat rod. I called the province's dept of...
Hi guys I have been window shopping for ideas for my upcoming build 1950 international with images on the internet. I have noticed that some builds have the box fixed/welded directly to the cab, while others remain in two sections. What are the pros and cons of welding box to the cab and...
thanks guys
Hi Guys I appreciate your input. It will save me some headaches down the road and still end up with a better rod. Much appreciated.
This is a great forum Glad to be apart of it.

Using an old model A radiator
I agree with t he importance of keeping everything running cool. But I think I might have access to a very good condition Model A rad for my build. It would look cool but will I be loosing the ability to cool my BBE FORD 390 FE?
Should I or shouldn't I, use the original international engine (1950) for my build? I do not know much about the international engine and if it would be allot of trouble to get it up and running. The donor car has a 390 FE with a 9" rear end (I think) which I originally wanted for the power...
Auto trans
Thanks guys My dad lives a province away so I will go down in a couple weeks and post some pics of the international truck and the car's transmission. I will be better able to show exactly what I am starting out with for my build.

Hi everyone. I am getting ready to scout out my international truck. The power plant is coming from a 66 mercury. The 390 engine has a push button trany and I would like to convert it to a floor console shift. Is this possible?
Please share what you can. Thanks
Crowman:rolleyes:
a little information is a dangerous thing
Hi guys I want to thank you for the information. I think that I have the right forum as I start my build. An old 1950 international pick up with 66 METEOR 390 engine and drive train.
Rust is infectious, I am barely started and my mind is spinning...
Hello all,I am going down to look over my possible project. I have two 1950 international pick-ups one is 1/2 ton and 1 is a 3/4 ton. The power train will be coming from a 1966 meteor with a 390 engine. As I am a newbie is there any suggestions on which frame I should use for my build? The...
Hi fellow rats I am the most recently rust infected rat to come on board. I must admit that it took a little while when I seen my first rat rod and wondered why. But once you really start to look at them the why turned into wow. There are so many options for creativity and personalization...
