Should I or shouldn't I, use the original international engine (1950) for my build? I do not know much about the international engine and if it would be allot of trouble to get it up and running. The donor car has a 390 FE with a 9" rear end (I think) which I originally wanted for the power plant of the ratrod. Any suggestions?
Thanks from the Crowman.

The International is an "old school" low RPM, stump-pulling truck engine... better suited to a field tractor than a rod of any description.

I'd put my time and effort into the 390, no question!

.

thanks guys

Hi Guys I appreciate your input. It will save me some headaches down the road and still end up with a better rod. Much appreciated.
This is a great forum Glad to be apart of it.
