A photo essay of what my project plan is....

So I determined the front of the s10 frame was way to wide for the 41 cab to fit down over it so I cut the left and right mid sections off and reversed them. That made a huge difference. The picture is dark but you get the idea.[/IMG] Now a little plating, welding and grinding and she's good as...

It is surprising that the door skins and window frames are in as good a shape as they are after so many years of laying on the ground beside the car. I'll bet someone chopping the top on a 36 chevy 4 door would like to have these kicking around![/IMG]

What the pictures don't show is just how wet the ground is! Everywhere you stepped once, your tracks instantly filled up with water! We had to carry a lot of stuff out by hand but we left nothing!

My dad stumbled onto these two cars while deer hunting three years ago, found out who owned them and bought the pair for $50.00, A real rusty 36 chevy 4 dr and an even rustier 40 chevy 2 door. We armed ourselfs with the chainsaw,my tractor and a pile of chain and off we went this morning to...

    Lifts, who's got'em?

My 3'x3'x 6" pads are under my 6" concrete floor. I just dug out the gravel where the lift was going and doubled the floor in those areas.

    Lifts, who's got'em?

I bought a new Bendpack 9000lb 2 post A symetrical lift 6 years ago (when I had some money) and it is without a doubt the best tool investment I have ever made! You want to make sure you double the thickness of your concrete where you plan to anchor your lift. I would recommend a pad of about...

Think I'm going to take the plasma cutter to the floor of the donor truck and put it into the 41. I can't believe how nice the cab is on this wreck! This way the body mounts will all line up and I can run the split bench in it's original location! Sweet! So far including all the donor cars and...

So despite a bout with the flu I put the donor truck up on the lift and yarned the body off it this afternoon. Thank god my bathroom is only a few feet from the garage! At any rate, the S-10 cab is MINT! Now I'm thinking about putting the floor out of it in Rodenstein. I'll post a few pics as...

That Buick is a parts car for my dads 57 Roadmaster 75. The bodies are completely different but the $1600.00 ball joints are the same as well as the 364 nail head motor and the dynaflo trans. I do feel your pain though . Those rear quarters are nice. Probably too nice for a rat rod! The motor...
