    My 1953 F100 Flathead V8 build

I got the color on! It is a little hard to tell what it is going to look like in the sun but so far I really like it. I don't know if it has dried enough to tell how flat it is going to end up. Hopefully I'll put it togeather tomorow...

Here is my chopper. It is a 113 inch rigid with a springer front end. Fast as hell and a blast to ride.

    My 1953 F100 Flathead V8 build

I forgot to mention I used POR15 under all my parts. I have had a gallon of this stuff for 5-6 years and its still good. I keep putting it in new cans becuse it gets sealed shut and I have to cut it open but the stuff is still good. This time it must have had a air leek becuse it had the top...

    Flathead to S10 T5 Adapter

Speedway motors sells one for the flathead fords using your original clutch linkage thru the adapter. I don't think its all that bad on price. Im planning on buying one for my truck. But I understand if you want to build your own. I try to do that as much as possible.

    My 1953 F100 Flathead V8 build

Well I got my bed, running boards, and rear fenders primed last night. I have to wait on the tailgate until I get the lettering to finish it off but hated seeing all this work sit and rust.

    A chevy in a ford

I say build what you like. Chevy's are much cheaper. I have always been a GM guy but I like to keep it in the same family. A ford is a ford keep it that way. I lucked out and got a flathead 8, its just cool! Im not sure what I would have done if it was anything else. I guess to me its...

    My 1953 F100 Flathead V8 build

I think I am finally done welding for a while! I finished up the tailgate with the brackets and chains. I also added some trailer strap eyes mounted flush to the bottom of the bed to strap things in. Like my chopper. I'll have to add some welds when I get the bed flipped, I have them just...

    My 1953 F100 Flathead V8 build

Thanks Mr. Clown! I'm happy with it so far. Getting a little burned out with it lately so I think it's time to paint the back half and drive it! That always helps me get motivated again.

    My 1953 F100 Flathead V8 build

I managed to get my tailgate welded up and mounted. All I need is the ford lettering and the bars to look like OEM. Its a lot heavier than I thought it would turn out but thats ok. Tomorow I hope to finish up the latch. I decided to cut out pieces to go inside and use the chain hook like...

    My 1953 F100 Flathead V8 build

Good morning guys! I got a little further on the bed build the last couple days. I made a set of taillight buckets, and frenched them into the roll pan. I pulled the licence plate mount off my Cutlass until I finde one for the truck and mounted it. I want to add a hitch behind the licence...

    My 1953 F100 Flathead V8 build

I got a little more done last night. I finished up the front of the bed, framed it in with 1x1 tubing and sheeted it. I mounted my new fenders. I started the lower part of the bed sides extending them down to the bottom of the fender. I am going to build a roll pan so I trimed them off in...
