I'm replacing the door bottoms on a 47 Ford PU. The outer panels I bought are made with a lap joint to the existing door panel, where the new sheet metal goes in behind the existing by about 1/2 inch. My question is , if I drill say 3/16 inch diameter holes an inch apart in the existing door...

Has anyone used trailer springs on their project? I'm thinking about using them on my project rear axle as parallel leafs. Would use the double eyelet type. I can't see why there would be any issues . Any thoughts ?????

Nice car ! I bought a brand new 1968 SS Chevelle my freshman year in college. Saved my pennies , saved my dimes. It was black also with a 350 HP 396 and 4 speed. I think it cost around $3900.

On a SBC does anyone know what the angle is between the crank centerline and the plane of the intake manifold ?

I must be missing something or maybe its the picture, but I don't see how the rear spring set up works. Is there enough room over the pumpkin for travel ? Are you using slides in place pf spring shackles ? Please don't get me wrong.....just asking ? Where is RPM ?

I've got a open driveshaft banjo rear end out of a 47 Ford PU. Is there a demand for these things? I want to clean out some stuff and I'm wondering what to do with this rear end. I wonder if I should hang on to the center section and junk the rest. Any thoughts ? John
