    Air Shocks Without Springs Question

The airbags out now are designed to support the weight and load needed to suspend a vehicle. Airshocks werent. Doesnt mean that they wouldnt, they are designed as an assist. People use them on the front of VW bugs all the time, but those front ends are way light. Now, back in the day of...

    Tubing questions

 Dont use pipe! That stuff will literally break under load. I've seen airbag mounts snap in half made of that stuff. Like Bonehead said, .120" wall minimum, DOM seamless tubing preferably. Its your life riding on that chassis, do it right the first time 'cause you may not get a second...

A couple more pics. The truck already had a MII front suspension in place. So I made up some mounts to install air bags and shocks. The completed rear suspension with two 5 gallon air tanks, 8 electric valves that allow full 4 wheel control and laying running boards. :D

Here's a 56 F100 I bagged and 4 linked for a customer almost 3 years ago. Pretty basic setup, I built the step notch and 4 link/panhard bar set up.

    HF Beadroller Stand

Bringing back an old thread.......here's my HF bead roller. I welded 2x2 square tubing to the back side to stiffen it up. What a difference! Works soo much better. I used a 2x4 piece for the stand, and a space saver spare tire/rim from a Nissan truck for the base. Having the rubber tire on...

48 Olds in the weeds - HOW? Questions...

That looks to be similar in design to the early/mid 60's chevy truck "truck-arm" suspensions. The axle is bolted to the lower arms, there is no way for the axle to "twist" under acceleration/braking. The lateral bar (you can just see it in the pic) running from side to side keeps the axle from...

Here is a pic of a 93 chevy truck I did suicide doors on for a customer. Also did the Cadillac front end conversion, rear 4 link/frame notch/airbags, shaved the door/tailgate handles, and roll pan at the rear. The backside of the front fenders were also completely filled/finished so that you...
