I am torn between painting my grill or leaving it chrome. I will be stripping all of the chrome from the body and hood, and shaving the handles, and I am concerned that all the chrome in the front will be over powering. Here is what I am working with and the second picture is of a painted...

I have a 1948 Plymouth that has a split hood with the trim piece running down the middle. I would like to get rid of all the trim. Can anyone tell me the technique for connecting the 2 halves? Well, they are connected, but how do you do the body work on something like this? Thanks, Matt
