I know this is a little old, but Speedy Metals is great. Cheap prices and shipping. When you call you can order any size metal you want. I am lucky to have one nearby where I can pick metal up.

It may be to much carb, the motor is close to 425 hp. i don't know if its to much or not. I have a holley guy lookin at it Tuesday. he thinks for under a 100$ he can get it dialed in. We will see. If he can't I will just buy an Edelbrock.

This may be what I do. I looked into having the carb tuned at a local shop and they wanted $250. I can get an edelbrock for that price.

I have a 327, built up pretty well with a holley 750 double pumper. Car runs really rich- like burns your eyes and blows a ton of black smoke out of the headers. I have a holley blue fuel pump, pressure regulator and gauge. The idle mix screws were about 4 turns out from just snug. I turned them...

if it has a parallel leaf up front you can block it, but it is going to ride like hell. make sure you get a block kit that is the same width as your springs.

How do I tell if the block has been line bored? Hell what does that even mean?

Ive heard of guys just buying open titles and going to the DMV and registering their vehicle. I know poeple do it up this way, because you can avoid all inspections. I see titles for sale all the time. It must work somewhere.

I would only do it in person at a bank. If you are talking about that much scratch, work out the details that will involve one of you flying or driving to meet up as a condition of teh sale.
