My baseball player doesn't really get in to cars. The other one that worked on it with me moved away from here to go to Texas,he's an apprentice linemen,know he really misses working on it. At around $24 an hour it's a little easier to miss.

Got the doors painted just need to hang em,paint the front end and headlights,gotta build some bed sides,wire it,cut the drive shaft and a bunch of other little bs. Youngest son is a senior in high school and baseball is is four games into the season,time is kind of limited.

Been an extremely long time since we posted on this truck. It's been sitting at friend of mine's shop since the first of the year,been storing it for me. Just thought I'd go by and visit her.

Old Iron as I'm sure you know it's a blind hole. I put in the heli-coil in after using the provided tap,afraid to drill it anymore for I might go through the runner. I couldn't get all of the insert down in there had to cut off two rounds. It should hold, it's in the depth of the hole at least...

You might think about a Howards Cam. I picked a .450 lift camshaft to try and save the press in studs,along with 224 duration @.050 on a 108 lobe center. Should give you a nice lope and better bottom with tight lobe center. The cam is actually one of the spec cams for 450 lift camshaft rule at...

Got a situation on an aluminum manifold where someone has replaced one of the four 5/16"studs where the carburetor bolts on with a 3/8" stud. I've been looking on line tonight for a step down stud from 3/8 to 5/16. I saw a few but they weren't long enough on the 5/16 side to go through the carb...
