    Broke - but an IDEA!!

i can't help buy laugh at myself, haha, but I never considered the fenders, haha. I've been thinking so much of just having no hood, no fenders - bare boneness. :) I think fenders would be rather nice - but they'd have to be removable, and I can't really comment on exactly what body style...

    Why Hide?

I'm a newbie here, but I couldn't agree more. I wish their location was in the title or something so if you did find something you liked, you could see where its located w/o opening it.

    Broke - but an IDEA!!

In the introduction page, I commented on how I'd like to make a hybrid between a late 40's sedan rat rod and a rock crawler...if I could do it, and when I have the time/money for it. Main reason I like the sedan - is I like the longer body style, and I'm quite used to driving a logner wheel...

    Another kind of build

I thought of doing a similar build with this truck (the truck in my sig - the project) but with house and g/f and long distance family - I'm trying to sell it. No one's biting, so I guess I'm going to have to wire everything up, maybe build a flatbed, and then if it still won't go - then I'll...

    My uncle's hot rods

And I wish I had pictures of the 69 Chevy Stingray Corvette Convertible with the 427 big block that he has sitting in another bay of his garage. He was replacing all the wiring in it as well as trying to finish the cabriolet. Oh and he also was almost finished with building his woodshop that...

    My uncle's hot rods

] This car in the background has a magneto, so no stereo & also doesn't have door windows. He has a rumble seat he can put in the trunk space too:

    My uncle's hot rods

Then there are these: Model A pickup: Copied and pasted when he was talking of selling it (he still has it): "The '31 Model A pick-up would probably bring about 30K. if freshened up a bit. As is, 25K would be fair and reality is I would take around 22K. They should feel they were getting a...

    My uncle's hot rods

(Sorry for the split - but apparently only 5 photos at a time) His latest project before he had his stroke was a ford cabriolet - and he was interviewing people to do his interior/convertable top before he fell ill. Everything is shaved - with 2 manual buttons for emergencies (in case his fob...

    Howdy, Indiana native here!

thanks for the welcomes! My uncle actually had the stroke about 5 months ago, and gave us quite a scare about a month or two ago, but he's getting some of his motion back - can walk enough to get through doors and up a couple steps with assistance - but I think his biggest annoyance is he can't...

    Howdy, Indiana native here!

Howdy! My name is Forest (like the rain forest, not like Gump), and I'm 25 yrs old. My uncle has been restoring and building hot rods up until he had a stroke, which he's still trying to recover from. Also, a good friend recently got me interested in offroading and diesels, and everything...
