    Field Press

Not wanting to drop the axle from my 1950 Chevy pickup, I built a field press frame to press out the King Pin from the Spindle. It worked well, however I did apply heat to the axle boss (hand propane tank) to aid in the King Pin removal. The Pin was froze in pretty solid. As you can see I have...

    The Messerschmitt

Old photo of the Messerschmitt altered dragster. Pocatello,ID Drag Strip in 1965. The 401 Nailhead Buick motor was sought after in drag racing circles back in the 60's.

    1950 Chevy Pickup

I just bought this pickup. I've been wintering in Arizona and it was in a covered porch next door. Sometimes you just get lucky.

    Worth a second look!

If you have the chance to pick up an old postal jeep, give it a second thought. After all they are a Jeep and they are built fairly well. My wife bought one (1976 DJ-5D) at a garage sale and gave it to our 3 teenage boys. After they drove it into the ground, it sat in the back yard for years...

    Postal Jeep (Call of Duty)

My 1976 Postal Jeep (Call of Duty) is getting a military make over. However it is hard for me to stay in the boundaries of what a Military Jeep should look like. I built some weird brackets for the fold down windshield. They are starting to make sense. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCyoWc3yVjA

1976 Postal Jeep call to duty

I am rebuilding my Postal Jeep and giving it a military theme. I removed the top and doors. I cut it in half and stretched the frame 14 inches. I lengthened the front half of the body and braced the 2 body parts together. Should have it done next summer.

Just an old flat bed truck

Here are a few pictures of the beginning and the end of my 39Ford truck build. I am moving on to a postal Jeep rat.

    1924 Ford Truck

I found this truck in Richland Washington. The owner said he is putting it on Graig's List soon. Everything is there if you were interested in a full restoration. It is too early of a model for me to rat out. He said he was going to list it at $3,500.00. Oh did I mention it has a clear title.

    Solid or absorber mounts

I have always questioned how you should mount a radiator. I have seen some mounted with solid mounts to the frame. I have always at the very least bolted them between nylon or rubber washers. I recently went to the Army Surplus store in our area, it is huge. I can browse there for hours. Anyway...

    Spark plug wire seperators

Here is an easy (old school) way to keep your spark plug wires separated. You just need some rubber hose, then make a punch. Punch your holes and saw to the center of each hole on one side. Install your wires and retain them with a plastic tie.

    New from Idaho

I have been on the HAMB for a few years, but I noticed I did not fit in well. I can't leave my cars original. I am done with high gloss and lots of chrome. I like old school and personal creativity. What I like about the old school and rat rod community is that people tend to follow their own...
