I went and looked at this Wednesday 7/3, it's what's left of a 29 Durant 4 door sedan that the Shiners’ cut the roof off of for a parade car. Wood is bad in the body (no-bfd) metal pretty good.

Last tabs are 72 and it's been indoors since. Motor is probably stuck I couldn't get grip on anything to check. My research has determined they ran continental engines and there are parts out there for them.

Tires are dust but skinny 19" are easy to get now a days. Mechanical brakes are easy to fix, no cylinders/lines/hoses to find or rebuild.

Plan would be to knock the dirt off make it safe and legal. Run it as found!

Has title in the executor of the estates name. Question: would it be worth a high of $1500.00?

Don

Looks like it could be a fun project to me.

I'd try to pull off a full fledge phaeton conversion....make new pieces to finish out the cut areas/remove evidence that the doors had tops and make a windshield frame that is swoopier.

Hi uncle. What's your heart telling you to do? That price is not out of line for what you're getting. Will it be easy to transport home, as opposed to something 1000 miles away that's a little cheaper. What do you want to end up with; a hot rod rat, a parade car or a stock partial car? It looks like you'll save a lot of money on the body work what ever your choice. If you answer some of these little questions maybe the big answer will pop up. Good luck.
