Well, that's a bummer.....but I agree that the safety stuff is more important than taking a chance. There'll be plenty of shows you can drive to safely. :)

stuff happens

AND THE FUN CONTINUES PART 2:rolleyes:

l got the other issues worked out and took it down to get the front end aligned and was happy that went well, we got the rear-end adjusted to 3/32'' side to side so it's square.

very snappy performance:D on the way home we opened it up and W0W, the power to weight ratio is great.
we hit a wee bit over a hundred in her:eek:

got home and noticed a wet spot on the passenger side rear tire,,,,,the darn axle seal is leaking and we got the replacement to go in and will get done in time for the cruz'in tomorrow.

l think this should fix all the little nagging stuff that keeps popping up.

Later:cool:

milage

with 2 people in the car we just went on a 13O mile run in the rat and she's pulling about 25 MPG on the highway and 19 MPG in town if l keep my lead foot outta the carb, if l drive it like l stole it, about 12-13mpg anywhere.

l filled it to the top of the filler neck at the local gas stop, drove to the show & stopped at the same place and refilled up and some did some cipherin' and came up with them numbers.

thanks Skull!!! That's a whole lot more information than I was looking for especially the info on the carb, I think I'll rebuild my other 600 I have on the shelf to those specs and give her a go on my 327....

Thanks again!
