1948 Chevy Truck "RAZOR"

Thought after checking all of your builds out that I would start a thread with my truck.

I bought this truck about 5 years ago from a farmer for $15.00 at an estate auction. It had a wrecker bed on it and was last titled in 1974. I sold the wrecker bed to a guy about 2 1/2 hours south of my home town for building a TOWMATER replica.

I got side ttracked with a new job a relocation and then moving back home!! I got this bright idea to build a real custom truck, so I grabbed my old truck and started cutting her up.

I have the vision in my head. The thought got put there by seeing Thom Taylors Truckster drawings. It will have some resemblance to that but with a twist.

I will tell you that looking at all of your builds on this and other sites is what brings out the ideas. When I get stuck on a part I'm working on I start surfing at check out what you all are doing.

So Thank all of you for the motivation.

I will keep you guys updated on the progress of the RAZOR!!!!

Update

I am still working on the build just gathering front end parts right now. I should make some good progress in the next week and get some more pics posted for all to see.

Now I just have to quit spending so much time looking at everyone elses builds and get back on track with my own. I want to be driving this thing come spring time!!!!!!

I have made progress on the build and will get pics posted soon. I have been searching for a resolution to my front end. I have mocked it up like 5 different ways and have finally settled on what I am going to do.

Truck looks Very cool wish the pics were better, I really like the idea you have with the hood. Front end placement looks right on to me. Have you narrowed the back of the hood yet?

Looks great I really like the rear of the frame too cool . Also like that your using the hood i think it looks great with it. I cut my hood up for patch panels wished now that i would have used it

Tiny, also thanks for the information. I needed that big time!!!! I will have some more update pics to post some time this weekend as I have started putting the roof back on. And might I say that is looks better than I had wanted it to come out!!!!
