defintly will

keep everyone posted today i cut off some of the old toyota stuff and set my radiator support frame up to see how it is going to look i keep debating on weather or not to channel the cab to give it a lower stance on the frame i am reluctant to do this yet i really want to get the project together befor i make any drastic changes like that

so today me and the boy got some more work done on the truck we lifted the cab up to cut off the toyota cab mounts off the frame and we are going to center the truck and make our own mounts so if i actually spend some time on the truck we could have it running or in a week or to there is just not enough time in the day specially with a two year old after the cab its the clutch and break setup and steering wheel and then a radiator and replace the four banger with anouther find a grill and make a bed or leave it open framed with some ammo box storage and old fire extinguishers for extra water storage
[cl[dr

cut the mounts

so today after work i cut the mounts from the toyota off the frame and i found the rear to stock ones of the ford that were originally bolted on i will chop up the back of the cab to drop it a little to clear the frame rails and weld the mounts onto the frame and measr it all out and built some front mounts wanna mount the steering wheel and brake clutch assembly soon so i can drived it a little until i can rebuild the engine and get a header and four barrel on it
[cl[S[cl i think

ps will post pics by monday

more updates

here is a photo of the tow package welded in i am still going to plate off the ends and weld it all the way around got the front mounts on pretty much were i want them i just need to do the rear monts i started to build a flat bed i just needa find some old wood to do the deck of the flatbed
i will have some pictures of the frame tomorrow it got to late to take pics and i got a 51 sedan in the garage so the 4x4 project is in the back yard

well got most the flatbed done i just needa put one side on it and deck it also gotta finish rear cab mounts steering and brakes clutch assembly i also needa redo valve guide seals in the 22 r

Interested in seeing pics of that flatbed. Hold off on Z'ing that frame until you get a real welder. I'm not sure I would even trust that towbar to the HF welder.

Are you keeping the fenders on?

(please use some periods - gets hard to read for us old guys)

fenders are shot and went to the scrapper the were really banged up with about six inch wholes in them i dnt plan on doing the z fram on this buggy and i also have access to a real welder that is why i am only putting tack welds i wanna hold it together for the two mile ride to the shop were it will get finished properthe bed i can do with the flux core because its real thin i wanna get a nice stick welder with wire feed atachments for it

and on another note i am thinking bout a jeep grill off a flatfender i have laying around no fenders or hood i wanna do some round fender style guards around the front shock towers
