1949 Dodge 1/2 Ton Complete Truck???

Would this make a great canidate for a rat rod projcet, it is complete and running daily driver, the guys is asking 3,000 for it, what are you opinions? or should I stick to the late 30's instead? I would like to be able to use the stock frame as this will be my first pfoject, and would ike to keep it the simpler the better. ideas?

Sounds like a driver to me. If you had something like that, just make sure it is mechanicaly sound, (has brakes), and drive it as is for a while.
