49 ford truck

This is my first rat ,it started as a cab i bought to mock up a motor on a 48 frame i sold the frame and had the cab left. it had no floors and was overall pretty rotten . i am not sure how many picks i can post at one time i have probably 50 or so.

I have a 47 Chevy AD and my gas tank is in the back just like yours . I also have a stout piece of angle iron to hold my hitch - looks a lot like yours . I also added some more angle iron kinda like a hidden bumper to protect the tank in case of a rear end collision . Didn't cost much and sure adds a lot of protection .
Your project is looking good .
 
That does look really good, nice work on the floors!

I'm tired of stripping this van, starting to twitch from not working on the RAT....

a friend of mine bent them for me .we bent the floor whit one piece of steel,then i welded the tunnel in and cut the center of the floor out under the tunnel.
 
here are the picks

painted it with chassis saver first then gray then orange then red will sand it a little then semi gloss black more sanding to stress the paint.

thanks, planning to drive it every day so it will be a little different,air heat and fuel injection 4 wheel disks and comfort that's why i didn't chop the top.
