351 clevland

i have a chance to pick up a 351 clevland for about 150 bucks, i believe it only has about 3000 miles since a rebuild....i do not no anything about these motors, how are they? power output? expensive to maintain or rebuild if nessesary?

Get it. Great engine. Not to good on milage but can make lots of power. Is it a 2 barrel of 4 barrel? They have different heads. 2 barrel are better street engines.

you know im not sure what carb set up it is, its comming out of an old ranchero that was wrecked, also included it a 9'' rear

is there a way to mate up a 351c to a chevy trans? 700r i believe

There are probably adapters for the bolt up ,but a C6 hooks right to it.

only reason im asking is i have a new 700r i got in trade still wrapped in plasctic, so i was hoping to use it with the 351 im getting

alright so i made the deal...looks like my first motor will be a 351c with a c6 tranny and 9''.....all for a whopping 150 bucks!

Darn good find! and if all was in that car you may be able to save some $$$ and just have that driveshaft shortened
