We had this extra cab, had some roof damage so thought we would try to chop this one. Chopped it 4". Going to put a sunroof it it to try and get rid of some of the damaged roof. This is our progress so far.

Tripper, not sure what direction were going with this one. Still looking for ideas. Wanted to see if we could salvage this cab first.

Nice chop Busman. It looks mean. Since you are experimenting, why dont you try to go ahead and reapir the roof damage before going straight to the sunroof. None of my business I know but I was just making a suggestion.

The roof is in pretty rough shape in the center. I have the sides pretty well hammered out with a little more dolly work I think it will work. Just cant seem to get the center to level out. Have any suggestions Gastrick?

Your chop looks very familiar. :) We chopped our '39 Dodge too. Makes a whole different looking car out of it, huh? Your chop is coming along well.:)

I agree with Gastrick, I think the sunroof would be too much like a ricer. Ultimately, it is your car and choice though, just making a suggestion too.

My truck was really bent down in the middle. I went on the inside and bent some 1/4 strap to support the shape, (shaped it before it went in) jacked it up with a hydraulic jack and welded the 1/4 in into palce. I was lucky that my cage has a cross bar in the center, and I was able to connect that to the top too.
