440 dodge

I am looking at buying a 440 dodge motor to stick in a henry J
the motor is presently in a motor home. Is there any difference between the 440 from a charger and the motor home model. It is hooked up to a automatic tranny. Also is there any way to confirm it is a 440 from the outside. eg numbers on the block

The 440 will have a small pad near the distributor that says 440. The 440 motor home engine is probably different in the heads. It might have bigger stem exhaust valves. Which is probably not a big deal. It just won't turn any high RPMs with the bigger stem valves because of the add weight.

If it is a 383 the numbers will be stamped on the top deck of the block.
