56 Nomad, one of my first builds

While living in Florida I was a member of the early Irons. Some beautiful rods in that club. Anyway, I rescued this 56 Nomad from the JY. It was pretty stripped. I built it using a 350 and 350 tranny. It had to go in primer. Then I put a 55 nose on it and shot it with Mustang yellow. My friend and I started the Mid Fla Classic Chevy Club. We had a blast. Anyway, here are 3 pics. Sorry about the quality, as they are at least 25 years old.

Just cleaned it up some after getting it home.

Looking pretty good, but I wanted more.

Lots of people like the 55 front end better then the 56, but me personally....I like the 56 best. Maybe, because I was concieved in 56...lol Either way, nice car!
