5th wheel prep

pokin around this morning getting ready for the BIG MOVE.
cleaning black water tanks
tire pressure
brakes
lights
pulling weeds and raking the area we have been renting.
i am going to have my buddy pops get this trailer out of here because
it is in a really really tight spot.
to get it in here he had to disconnect the truck from the trailer and reposition then hook up and back it in.
i could probably get it out
but i am afraid of
1 wrecking stuff
2 getting hopelessly stuck back here
3 both 1 and 2

i found a 16000 lb. reese hitch on craigslist for $350
but it didnt come with the mounting brackets or the bolts n stuff
I.R. POPS to the rescue
he fabbed up some mounts and after a trip to the hardware store for $19 worth of bolts
and about six hours
i drove away from his house ready to tow!
there was a recent thread about kick ass friends that go above and beyond the call of duty.
POPS is one of them.[cl

my wife*
is leaving the 15th and i follow on the 31st
this trip i take the 5th wheel with all our household stuff
then later i will come back and pick up my new-to-me 24 foot flatbed gooseneck
that'll have my hotrod and all the big heavy crap
that flatbed goosey is gonna come in reeeeaaal handy fellas.
i think of all the times that i had something big and/or heavy to move and i either had to go begging or rent a trailer and hope that my 3/4 ton was strong enough for the job
them days are over with the ram,cummins 3500 and that big honkin trailer.

I saw some of that green stuff in eastern Oklahoma Friday. I was really jealous. We don't have much of that around my house. It did have ticks in it tho. Picked 2 of the little buggers off me going down the road.
