I've built a lot of cars and trucks over the years but this will be a first. Kind of a rare oddity, an FJ-8 Fleetvan made by AM General. 232 Jeep engine and right hand drive.

Looks like it could use a 20" chop and 30" section job. Put a two motor set up in the rear with the zoomies sticking out through the roof.

Put a side window in with a little shelf like an ice cream truck and a huge sound system to blast the little kiddies ears out![ddd

Probably something simple, just a quick winter project. First is make sure the motor will run. Once we get the drivetrain lined out we'll paint it inside and out, throw on a few 70's retro hot rod goodies along with some new decals. How about Van Halen's "Ice Cream Man" playing through the loudspeaker?

Chop the top about half way down the windshield. Chop the back door at the bottom so you keep the glass. Flat black the whole thing and put a big skull with clown hair and cap with red nose eating an ice cream cone on the side. Red rims with caps and white walls. Course you are going to have to chop the freezer too, also chop all the ice cream sticks. [ddev

I was thinking about this the other day when I saw a 76? GMC box truck on ebay. I love different, unique stuff.

This thing had been sitting in a field since 93, so the guy had no idea if it would run or not. It turned by hand and the oil looked clean, though. I replaced a starter and fuel pump that were both full of mud doubers nests, regapped the points, put on some new plug wires, and ran the fuel line into a can and she started and ran like a top! Spent the rest of the day power washing it from front to back, inside and out. Looks better just getting all the crud off of it. Here's some before and after shots.
