We had a guy out here that just finished restoring a '57 Chevy convertable. Super nice car. Some girl wanted to ride in it at her wedding. After the wedding, she told her father she wanted the car. The owner said it was not for sale. The buyer asked, if he was selling it, what would it be worth? The owner said $75K. The buyer said, "I see how much you like your car" and handed him a check for $150K. Well, needless to say, the '57 went down the road.

and then the check bounced the next day... haha

Boy, when I said I hope everyone enjoys my truck - I did'nt mean one owner after another!

Apparantly he felt it was'nt "finished", but now it is.

Old Gold was the build of this truck documented on here? I really like the chop and doors, wouldn't mind stealing some of you're ideas. Good luck on you're next.

I have a couple of threads to document. Unfortunately when I would get on a roll I did'nt take a lot of pics. Just PM me if you need to know anything. The hardest part is "decrowning" the roof. I can explain in detail if you need me to.

I can see what you're talking about it had to be a nightmare getting the two sides to match. I think these pics will help me make up my mind on whether to chop or not. Thanks for the offer if I get stuck I'll scream for help.

Stop by next time you're in the area, you're always welcome! I'll show ya my next "super secret" project i'm working on;)

Really.... I think he totally ruined the look of that truck when he painted it...

I didn't mean to imply that paint job did anything for the truck....I was just saying as far as far as "fauxtina" goes, they did a good job of it. To me, it looks like it was painted 50 years ago and went to sh!t naturally.

I think that truck deserves to be body worked and painted shiney.
