I'm wanting to possibly subframe my scout, have any of you guys done anything like this? how hard is it and what do you guys think would be my best option for a subframe?

I had a 79 camaro on my 40 coupe frame and 1/2 the tire stuck out past the fender ,, just dont look right . every body seems to be using the s-10 with no complaints .

Lots of aftermarket stuff to tweak an S10. And s10 frames usually go for less than a camero/nova sub-frame.

Back when Camaro/Nova stubs were all the rage, they used to narrow them. I remember a how-to in one of the car magazines.

this has a s10 front end, tires stay in the fenders good, just as easy to put in as a camaromrdeadman1

If you don't run fenders then wider is better in my book!
But the S-10 thing is usually the way too go for most applications.

it's going to go in my 61 ih scout if I don't change the body out then it will have fenders
I would check track widths on your scout vs s10 and camaro and see which one is going or fit better. I have a 61 f100 unibody and picked up a camaro subframe, s10s are too narrow for these trucks but hopefully you can use the s10. It will be easier to find and cheaper

Seeing as the S-10 track width is within an inch, that's going to be your best option.
