Took a break from measuring out my chop ( ordered Tex Smith's book, will be here in 2 days). So, I got to looking at where the body of my 54 Dodge will sit on my 82 S-10 frame. I really don't like the "stubby" look in the front. I'm thinking about stepping up the floor in the rear of the cab to move it back onto the area of the frame where the rise starts. Can anyone think of any issues that this will cause ? The only one I can think of is the shifter point on the tranny will end up at the firewall. Which I think I can fix by making my own shift linkage.
Thanks

I don't know what motor/tranny ur using, but if it's a T5, the S10 has a far forward shift lever placement compared to other T-5's. Point is, if shifter location is your main concern and you have the T-5, you should easily be able to get a different trans or tail with a farther back shifter.
