Buggy spring settle

Trying to draw out my frame on a new project. It is a 49 IHC kb, 2X4 frame, will have a 3 foot bed. What I am trying to figure out is ride height or how tall my rear kickup needs to be. Was going to use a model a buggy spring in back and was wondering if anyone can give me any idea how much spring settle you can expect. I realize this varies and can be changed with leafs. I have never used a buggy spring and just trying to get a general idea.

A friend of mine was in the same boat you are in, and made an adjustible perch, to get his ride height. He plans on welding it up solid at the end of the build.

I was planning on using a model a rear crossmember. So therefore it wouldnt be very adjustable. Maybe it would be easier to make the spring mounts on the axle adjustable.
