cab width???

i know this is kinda a dumb question, but what is the width of the back of the cab for the 42-47 ford cab? i only ask because my cab has made its way down to pueblo, co this weekend and before it left i couldn't measure it.

i am trying to make sure i dont widen my bed sides too far to where it looks off or unproportioned.
