This is my Grandfather-in-law's camper. He bought the truck new in 65 and immediately built the camper on it. Still on it today. Note the 2 spares on the roof - had 2 flats at once one time, always had the 2 spares after that. He also had a 6x6 flat trailer he pulled behind it full of gear.
Thats all the pics I currently have of the Fairlane guys. It has a 352 with a three speed automatic tranny in it. The trans was puking fluid pretty badly last fall. I am planning on pulling the current engine and trans and dropping in a 223 inline six cylinder with a three speed manual trans. The inliner is way more reliable and it gets better mileage to boot.
This is a picture of my 1949 Spartan Royal Mansion. Yes its 33 feet long and weighs in at a modest 5200 pounds(its all aluminum except the frame). It pulls like a dream even at interstate speeds.
Here is a pic of my 1949 Spartanette Model 24. Its the smallest model Spartan made in 1949. This one is complete and original down to the Oklahoma Department of Health inspection tags on the matresses. Its 27 feet long overall and yes it is a single axle.
